This Highlander was distilled over at Ben Nevis back in November 1995! The single malt was whacked into a single sherry butt for the foreseeable future, and 23 years later Claxton's independently bottled the whisky, with the cask yielding 334 bottles at 55.4% ABV.
Nose: Floral oak and waxy peels, with sweeter marmalade and toasted nuts. Palate: Oat and raisin cookies, chocolate-coated stem ginger, hints of berry and brown sugar. Finish: Hints of forest fruit, with cinnamon swirl, cocoa and oak spice.
